For the past three years I have been working on this website and never once was I satisfied with the way it looked … until now!

BUT I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I have come a long way in terms of website development and in order to upgrade to this fancy new wordpress site I had to change my hosting account. What does that mean?

That means that I am taking a HUGE risk!

While my website still lives at www.airbrush-guidance.com all the LINKS into my site may be broken by the transfer. That means I may take a HUGE hit in google page rank and subsequently get a lot fewer visitors (I currently get about 5000/month).

Here is where you come in. If you have a blog, or a myspace page, or anything like that and you like this site I would love if you could link to it. That will help google understand that this site actually has useful information on it. Additionally, if you could comment (a new sexy feature I am really excited about) that will let google know that this site generates interest and will also help with my ranking.

Just so you know …. even if this all turns to s**t and my visitors drop to 100 visits a month, airbrush-guidance is still gonna be here. I promise. Even though this site is INFINITELY cooler than my previous site(s) it costs about a tenth of the money to host it here. (YIPPEE!)

Yes, that’s right folks!  No matter how many times I told you on my old site to PLEASE email me only a few of you ever did … NOW I am encouraging you to leave comments on the posts, help each other, help me help you by telling me what you are struggling with.  I will read every single one and more than likely throw in my two cents!

BE FRIENDS WITH ME!!!

See the little icons up top in the right hand side?  Those are there for a reason!  I want to interact with you all more!  Sign up for my RSS feed (to get notified of new posts), follow me on Twitter and if you’re not on twitter I’m willing to bet you’re one of the 80 million people on facebook!  Like my facebook page!

GET AROUND EASIER!!!

Another cool thing about this redesign is how the information is all laid out.  In the side bar you’ll see a grey area with a bunch of little icons over top of it.  Clicking those little icons is how you find what you are looking for!  Interested in a certain category?  Click the folder.  Interested in a certain keyword? Click the tag.  Interested in seeing only the latest posts?  Click the clock.  It’s so easy I am all goose-bumpy!

HEAR FROM ME MORE OFTEN!!!

OK… so technically this has nothing to do with the redesign… but to me it sort of does.  Because I am SO proud of this website now (i.e. no longer embarrassed by it’s ugliness) I am going to be spending a lot of time building it up.

I here by solemnly swear that as of March 1, 2011 there will be a NEW post up every Monday  and Friday!   That’s right … 2 days a week BABY!!
